Hong Kong Study Club Series - October 30, 2025
The Study Club Topic is "Full arch implant supported prosthesis: Treatment planning and design"
Full arch implant-supported prostheses represent a transformative solution for patients with terminal dentition or complete edentulism, offering superior outcomes in stability, function, and aesthetics compared to conventional removable dentures. This lecture will explore the clinical and technical considerations essential for successful rehabilitation using implant-supported full arch restorations.
Participants will gain insight into evidence-based treatment planning protocols, including patient selection, diagnostic workflows, and surgical-restorative coordination. This lecture will delve into prosthetic design principles—covering material choices, framework construction, and treatment options — to optimize long-term success and patient satisfaction. Special emphasis will be placed on occlusal strategies tailored to implant biomechanics, including the concept of implant occlusion and managing to prevent complications.
Through case-based discussions and practical guidance, attendees will be equipped to deliver prosthetic-driven implant planning and complete the full arch implant solutions that meet the demands of modern prosthodontic practice.
