This presentation will examine the state-of-the-art approach to utilizing a CT scan in conjunction with a 3D digital planning software. Using these techniques, clinicians are able to achieve maximum prosthetic success by reverse engineering from the occlusal plane of properly positioned teeth, down to the bone, for very strategic placement of implants. Prosthetic concerns will be weighed against anatomical limitations and considerations to achieve a true harmony between the surgical and prosthetic aspects of full-arch restoration.
Dr. Andrew Bock received his bachelor of arts degree in biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He then proceeded to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, California, and finished in the top 20% of his class in 2005. At Loma Linda he received the predoctoral Excellence in Dental Implantology award. He then entered the graduate prosthodontics residency program at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, and graduated with his certificate in prosthodontics in 2008.
Dr. Bock is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Boulder/Broomfield County Dental Society. Mr. Thomas Wade (CDT) has owned and operated New Horizons Dental Laboratory in Broomfield, Colorado, since 1983 and has always specialized in the fabrication of removables and implant prosthetics. He is a published author and lectures on both clinical and laboratory aspects of multiple-implant full-arch prosthesis, with an emphasis on CAD/CAM milled titanium bar restorations. He is a 1976 graduate of the dental technology program at the US Air Force School of Health Care Sciences, Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Wade is a 2012 “CDT of the Year” nominee and the lead instructor for the master level “Dentures on Implants” two-day hands-on workshop presented by the Ivoclar/Nobel Biocare partnership at the Implant Esthetics Center of Excellence in Sarasota, Florida, and at their Mississauga, Ontario (Toronto), facility.
