Saj Jivraj, Hooman Zarrinkelk: Expanding treatment possibilities using the All-on-4® treatment concept

The All-on-4® concept originally has been developed as a cost effective way to treat edentulous patients with moderately atrophied jaws. Today expanded treatment options have been introduced, and the concept can also be used for highly resorbed situations. There are three simple goals: 12 teeth per arch, fixed appliance throughout treatment, no grafts. The presentation reviews the clinical obstacles for implant treatment, such as patient age, atrophy, anatomical limitations, bone quality, and highlights that in many patients there is even too much bone available and bone has to be removed, to provide sufficient vertical restorative space. Dr Jivraj and Dr Zarrinkelk guide through the restorative considerations, incisal edge position, restorative space, lip support smile line, lip length, contours and emergence, appropriate tissue and occlusal contact.
