Stefan Holst: Treatment planning - restorative considerations and material selection

Video part two presents the chosen treatment and gives insight in the decision making rationale on restoration parameters such as conventional vs CAD/CAM techniques, material selection, screw- vs cement-retained solutions, single unit vs splinted construction and ceramic vs acrylic veneering option. The lecture concludes, that CAD/CAM technology is preferred due to high precision and material homogeneity, Zirconia supports soft tissue integration and esthetics, screw-retained construction offers accessablity to the implant and avoids the risk of cement excess.
