Treating complex cases with tilted implants
Video highlights
- Treatment options for severely atrophied jaws
- Case presentation with the All-on-4 concept
- Case presentation with the V-II-V concept
- Presentation of the trans-sinus approach
In the second part of the webinar series on Tilted Implants, Prof. Enrico Agliardi opens his presentation explaining which treatment options are available in cases of severe atrophy in the maxilla and mandible.
Prof. Agliardi presents complex cases that are not often seen in the practice, and are therefore demanding in terms of treatment planning and surgery. He highlights that these patients always present themselves with the same facial features such as thin lips, deep commissural folds, angular cheilitis and hypertone of the chin muscle. When treating these indications the restoration of the function is a key point, but restoring the esthetics is a major need for these patients as well. Prof. Agliardi presents four patient cases with detailed treatment steps and explains the difficulties of these treatments and how to overcome them with the All-on-4 protocol or the V-II-V protocol.
In the third and fourth patient case presenations, Prof. Agliardi explains the trans-sinus approach when placing implants in compromised patients. He demonstrates step-by-step how this approach is executed surgically and which benefits it brings to the patient and the rehabilitation of the patient.
After his presentation, Prof. Agliardi discusses his treatment approach with the moderator of the webinar series, Dr. Nikola Vasilic.
