Lawrence Brecht

Biography

Dr. Lawrence Brecht received his DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry and Certificates in Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in New York City following a residency and fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He joined the NYU College of Dentistry faculty in 1989 and was named the Director of Maxillofacial Prosthetics in 1992. He also serves as the Director of Craniofacial Prosthetics at The Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center, NYU School of Medicine. He currently serves as the President of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and the President-elect of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics. He is a frequent contributor to the maxillofacial prosthetics and plastic surgery literature.
