Biography

Graduated cum laude at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" (2000). One-year Master in Oral Surgery (2003) at the Department of Oral Rehabilitation and three-year Master of Science in Oral Surgery (2005) at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". Postgraduate in Periodontology and Implantology at the Department of Periodontology at the University of Florence (2006/07). Master degree from the following courses: intensive fixed prosthesis, Dr. M. Fradeani (2008), "All-on-4” and “Immediate Function", Dr. P. Malo (2009); Occlusion and Gnathology, Prof. M. Molina (2010); Guided minimally invasive surgery, Prof. A. Pozzi (2012/13). Certification in implant-based therapy awarded by the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) (2013). Lecturer at the Department of Oral Rehabilitation of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata” from 2012 to 2014. Lecturer at the Department of Oral Rehabilitation of the Polytechnic University of Marche (Italy) and University of Sassari (Italy), from 2014 to today. Private practice in Rome, limited to implant surgery and prosthesis. Author of several national and international publications and Lectures. Reviewer for the following journals: Oral Health and Dental Management and Annals of Maxillofacial Surgery.

Patient cases

Implant placement and guided bone regeneration in the anterior area of the mandible

A 55-year-old male patient desired replacement of a previously extracted, missing lower canine #43 FDI (#27 US) which had not been previously restored. The treatment option was the placement of an implant with horizontal and vertical bone augmentation.

Maxillary implant-supported overdenture to replace a failed, fixed restoration

A 68-year-old female patient wearing an implant-supported restoration with a very high mobility due to periimplantitis. The treatment consisted in placement of new implants and a new prosthesis to re-establish function, esthetics and provide overall comfort.
