Rannveig Grimsdottir
Biography
My name is Rannveig Grimsdóttir, I am Icelandic by birth and nationality, but for the last 30 years I have lived in Chile. I have 2 kids, Florencia and León. I am a kitesurfer, I competed in that sport for many years. My greatest achievement was going to a world championship in Italy in 2021. I studied dentistry and my specialty in Prosthodontics in Chile, graduating from my specialty in 2010. Since then, I have dedicated myself mainly to complex rehabilitations and implantology in my private practice. In 2021, I validated my title as a dental surgeon in the European Community in Iceland.
In 2022 and 2023, I studied implantology in Chile. I currently have my private practice in Chile where I work 7 months a year and 5 months, I work in Iceland in private practice. I have worked with Nobel since the beginning of my carrier, where I started with immediate loading, a technique that has been my greatest motivation to give speeches and courses, due to the high success of the technique and the incredible improvement in quality of life of the toothless patient by receiving a new smile on the same day.
I also enjoy to give back to the community and I have been involved in humanitarian projects, including giving smiles back to inhabitants of the most remote island in the world, Easter Island, in a project supported by FOR and Nobel Biocare, under the leadership of Dr Ruben Rosenberg.
