W. Patrick Naylor

Dr. Naylor received his DDS degree from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry, a certificate in Prosthodontics from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Harvard School of Public Health, and an MS degree in Dental Materials from Indiana University. He served in the US Air Force (1968-72) and US Air Force Dental Corps (1981-99) while holding academic appointments at several dental schools. He retired from military service in the rank of colonel. He then became the Associate Dean for Advanced Education at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Naylor has written numerous books, book chapters, abstracts, and published articles in many peer-reviewed journals. He co-edited three eBooks on implant dentistry for FOR with Dr. Charles Goodacre. His textbook, Introduction to Metal-Ceramic Technology (Quintessence Publishing Co.) is in its third edition. Dr. Naylor is an adjunct professor at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, a professor of prosthodontics at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, College of Dentistry (Dammam, Saudi Arabia), and a member of the Leadership Council for the West Virginia University School of Dentistry.
